Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

Eligibility: Candidate has passed Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 Standard) from theBoard of School Education, Haryana or an Examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects, alongwith any one of the following subjects :

(a) Mathematics
(b) Biology
(c) Bio-technology
(d) Computer Science

Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)
Seats: 76


Eligibility: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharmacy) examination from Kurukshetra University or from a Institution approved by AICTE with at least 55% marks in the aggregate (50% marks for SC/ST candidates).

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES

1. Last date for receipt of Application Form duly completed in all respects in the office of the Director,
Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, KUK is 10.06.2013 by 5.00 p.m. for B. Pharmacy and
24.06.2013 by 5.00 p.m. for M. Pharmacy courses.

2. Candidate can submit his/her Application Form in the Institute upto one day before the Entrance
Exam. with late fee of Rs.500/- and DD in favour of Registrar, K.U. payable at Kurukshetra must be
attached with the Application Form, such candidates will have to get Admit Card By Hand.

3. Prospectus and Application Form can be downloaded from website: www.kuk.ac.in such Forms must be accompanied DD of Rs.1000/-(Rs.250/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana) in favour of Registrar, K.U. payable at Kurukshetra.

4. Specialization in M.Pharmacy i.e. Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy &
Phytochemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Management & Administration will be allotted on
the basis of merit of Entrance Examination and choice of the candidates at the time of counseling.

5. Admitted candidates in M.Pharmacy in 1st counseling can also attend 2nd and 3rd counseling for sliding from one specialization to another specialization according to merit. Candidates will only be
considered for sliding, if he/she will be present physically on the day of counseling.

6. Result of Entrance Exam. for B.Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy courses will be notified on the
Notice Board of the Institute and also provided on the University website.

7. For admission to M.Pharmacy course the candidates who have passed GPAT with valid score in the Pharmaceutical Sciences need not to appear in the Entrance Test. They will be considered for admission to M.Pharmacy course on the basis of GPAT score.

8. Self attested photocopies of required certificates/DMCs and photograph duly attested by a
Gazetted Officer must be attached with the Admission Form.

9. No course will be started, if the strength of students is less than ten and no option will be started, if the strength is less than five.

10. If the last date of receipt of Application Form and last date for depositing the dues falls on a holiday or that day is declared holiday by the University, the next working day will be considered the last day for the purpose.

11. At the time of admission every candidate shall be required to give an undertaking of good conduct & behaviour and not to indulge in ragging. If a candidate after his/her admission is found indulging in any kind of ragging, his/her admission is liable to be cancelled.

12. Each admitted student shall have to furnish Self Declaration by him/her and his/her Parent/Guardian as per specimen given at Annexure-IX & X that he/she was never found guilty of ragging and shall not indulge in any act of ragging. Each admitted student shall furnish his/her information as per Annexure-XI.

13. If a student fails to attend his/her classes continuously for seven days from the date of commencement of the classes or from the date of admission, his/her admission, shall be cancelled.

14. Student after taking admission desirous of bringing his/her vehicle in the University Campus should submit self attested photocopies of the Registration Certificate (RC) of his/her vehicle and the driving license to the Director of the Institute and the Warden of the Hostel concerned.

15. If any student gets accommodation allotted in his/her name in a Hostel and allows some other person(s) to stay in his/her allotted room and/or to take meals, in that case the admission of both the
students, i.e. (i) the allottee and (ii) the illegal occupant, shall be cancelled from the Department as well as from the hostel without assigning any reason.

16. Any legal dispute relating to admission of students will be subject to Courts at Kurukshetra or Courts having jurisdiction in Kurukshetra.

17. A Candidate who has passed qualifying examination from the Universities of Haryana will be considered a Haryana resident and he/she is not required to submit Haryana Resident Certificate. Other candidates for seeking benefit of Haryana resident, should submit a certificate of Bonafide Resident of Haryana as per guidelines at Appendix-A.

18. In case two or more candidates in merit list have equal percentage of marks, the marks obtained in the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration. In case there is still a tie, the candidate senior in age will be considered first.

19. Due to paucity of hostel accommodation, the University may not be in a position to accommodate all the aspirants in the hostels.

20. Use of Alcohol is prohibited in the University Campus. Every student must observe discipline on the Campus failing which strictly action will be taken against him/her.

21. An official E-mail ID will be allotted and communicated to every regular student by the concerned
Institute for sending official communication to him/her.

22. Weekly attendance report of all students will be put on the University Website. If a student remains absent from the class for 14 days or more in a month his name will be struck off from the rolls and his/ her parents will also be informed.

23. Candidate whose result of the qualifying examination is declared late, can submit their Result
Card/DMC by 12.00 noon upto one day, before the display of First, Second, Third/Final list of
selected candidates in the Institute and they will be considered, subject to availability of vacant seats.

24. A student should keep his/her ID card always with him/her. The same should be shown when
demanded by the University officer/official.

25. The student should get issued for their vehicle after submission of copy of Registration Card to the Chief Security Officer through Director of the Institute.

24. Merit lists and lists of selected candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Institute and University website for the information of the candidates.

25. No. of seats can be increased/decreased in B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy courses.

Date of Depositing Fees & Dues :                18.07.2013 & 19.07.2013

Display of Final List (Merit Based on Physically Presence) : 22.07.2013 at 12.00 noon
Date of Depositing Fees & Dues :                   22.07.2013

Final List will be prepared on the basis of physical presence of the candidates who will mark attendance upto 12.00 noon in Institute. Vacant seats, if any, in M. Pharmacy for 2nd/3rd counseling will be provided on the University website and also notified on the Notice Board of the Institute. Classes of B. Pharmacy will be started from 15.07.2013. & M. Pharmacy will be started from 29.07.2013.

Last date to submit paper application with all required documents is 10.06.2013 by 5.00 p.m. for B. Pharmacy and 24.06.2013 by 5.00 p.m. for M. Pharmacy courses.
